Three years, hundreds of hours of writing, rehearsals, recording, mixing, mastering along with trails and tribulations has gone into the production of Anomaly.

This is the third album from The Cilikis and represents a major shift in song writing and music production for the band.

Drawing on the bands many influences, a lot of writing techniques were used that were a little more obscure and esoteric compared to other song writing styles in the progressive metal and fusion genres.

The result? We think that the album is just that; a dynamic, obscure, esoteric, cerebral and intellectually layered mix of textures and scenes.

The writing and pre-production for Anomaly had started around late 2015 but it wasn't until January 2017 that the band decided to stop live performances to fully commit to finish writing the album.

After what has seemed to be a life time, by the 1st of December 2017, all the pre production album writing had been completed. The band spent another 6 to 7 months rehearsing and fine tuning the music before recording began in August 2018.

The drums were recorded in one day on 1st September 2018. The guitar tracking began mid September 2018 at and continued on and off between September 2018 and March 2019. Frank's bass tracking at was done at BMC Guitar Studio in long hot day during November 2018

The album was mixed and mastered in between March and May 2019.
